When it comes to gaming displays, response

time trumps all else. In this regard, BenQ’s

RL2450HT monitor—marketed speciﬁcally to

real-time strategy gamers—delivers with its

2ms GTG response speed.

Unfortunately, that speed comes at

the sacriﬁce of color quality, as whites

and blacks aren’t as deﬁned as you might

see elsewhere. e RL2450HT comes with

a staggering set of features and display

adjustments, including RTS mode, which is

a built-in preset that helps units stand out

against darker backgrounds. But unless

you’re a hardcore RTS player, you probably

won’t notice enough to warrant a purchase.

ere’s also an option to virtualize a variety

of display sizes, a neat tool for tournament

gamers. Similarly priced displays may oﬀer

better picture quality, albeit without the

RL2450HT’s cool chasis and adjustability.

If you can forego the display features, look

elsewhere.
